Why I built Veyra
I started veyra because the money apps I tried could show me a number but not explain it. A transfer between my own accounts counted as spending. A credit card blurred what I owed with what I could still spend. Budgets drifted away from what I had actually spent, and balances slowly stopped matching my bank — with no way to see why.
So I built the tool I wanted: one where every peso is recorded once, every balance is worked out from those records, and any figure can be traced back to the things that made it. It answers four questions — where my money is, why it changed, what is coming next, and what needs my attention. I use it for my own money, and that is why it leans towards being verifiable rather than merely tidy.
Who you’re writing to
I’m Amiel Brencis Salipande, and I design, build, and run veyra on my own. By day I’m a software developer at REMIE Australia and Lead AI Automation Engineer at a Canadian company; veyra is independent of both.
Before that I spent several years on multi-tenant SaaS — HR, compliance, and healthcare platforms serving organisations in the UK and Australia — where keeping each customer’s data apart, role-based access, and audit trails were requirements, not extras. I’ve also built wallet, transaction, and refund flows for a marketplace. They are the same problems a money workspace has, and that experience is what veyra is built on.
I came to software from biochemistry, which I studied at De La Salle University, and it shows in how veyra works: every balance is calculated from recorded events rather than typed in and trusted, a removed transaction is voided and kept rather than erased, and the app checks its own arithmetic and tells you when something does not add up.
If something is wrong or confusing, telling me goes straight to the person who can fix it. More about my work: portfolio · LinkedIn.
What Veyra runs on
veyra stands on a handful of services. What each one receives, and when, is in the Privacy Policy.
Buy me a coffee and a cookie
veyra is free to use, and I build it in my own time — fuelled, honestly, by a lot of coffee and a cookie or two: red velvet, dark chocolate and macadamia, or white chocolate. If it has been useful to you and you would like to help keep it going, you can buy me both through my BDO account: scan the code with any banking or e-wallet app that supports InstaPay.

What to include
To help me sort things out quickly, it’s useful to include:
- what you were trying to do, and what happened instead;
- the screen or feature involved (for example, Bills or Transactions);
- the email address on your veyra account;
- a screenshot, if it helps show the problem.
Please don’t send passwords, one-time codes, or full card numbers — I never need them to help you.
Managing your data
You can export or permanently delete your whole workspace yourself, any time, from Settings. To close your account entirely, email me. For everything else about how your information is handled, see the Privacy Policy.
The essentials
Your use of veyra is covered by the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. In short: veyra keeps records of your money — it never holds or moves it — and nothing in it is financial advice.
